Our hearts go out to you in this time of incredible loss. The sadness that has been felt across the state pales in comparison to what your family must be experiencing right now. To lose one so young with such a zest for life, and for soccer...it is too heartbreaking to comprehend. Please know that the magnitude of this sad moment is felt by everyone in the Alliance FC family and we are all praying for you and for Jonathan right now. We have had many monumental battles with Sporting Green teams over the years, but have always appreciated the amazing competition that took place and always enjoyed how they brought out the best in our players. Their is poignancy to Jonathan passing after playing his last soccer game and being in the jersey he so clearly coveted. There may be something meaningful wrapped up in that tragic moment, but we understand that it may take time for you to ever see it that way.
To watch our children play soccer is easily one of the greatest joys we experience in our lives. Cherish the time you had watching him and treasure the memories that he brought to your lives. His passing should serve as a reminder to everyone how fleeting life can be and how we truly must treasure every moment we have with our children on the soccer field and off.
